Wakatime/Wakapi Import
Ziit allows you to import your existing coding activity data from Wakatime or WakAPI. This guide will walk you through the process.
Importing Data
You can import data from either WakaTime or WakAPI.
Choose Your Data Source
In your Ziit settings, navigate to the "Import Data" section. You will see options to import from WakaTime or WakAPI.
Select the service you want to import from.
Provide Required Information
To export your wakatime data go to https://wakatime.com/settings/account and
search for Export my code stats... then select Heartbeats NOT Daily
totals. Wait for it to finish exporting and download the file which should
give you a JSON.
Start Import
Once you have provided the necessary information or uploaded your data file, click the "Import" button. Ziit will begin processing your data.
Note
The import process may take some time depending on the amount of data being imported. You can leave the page or reload it will continue in the background.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues during the import process:
- Double-check API Keys and URLs: Ensure that your API keys and instance URLs are correct for WakAPI imports.
- Verify Data File: For WakaTime, make sure you have downloaded the correct "Heartbeats" data export.
